The American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), America’s only bipartisan association of political professionals, announced the winners of the 2023 40 Under 40 Awards program recognizing the best and brightest young professionals working in the United States. Selected from more than 250 nominations, the winners were recognized at an awards ceremony during the 2023 Pollie Awards and Conference in Palm Springs, California on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
Founded in 1969, the AAPC is a multi-partisan organization of political and public
affairs professionals dedicated to improving democracy. The AAPC has over 1,600
members hailing from all corners of the globe. It is the largest association of political
and public affairs professionals in the world.

Among the awardees, John Padua from Trilogy Interactive and Trip Yang from Trip Yang Strategies, were two AAPI Democratic strategists recognized by the national organization.
John Padua is the Vice President of Media Buying for Trilogy Interactive. According to his company bio, he "builds advertising campaigns that are about reaching people, not just buying impressions. This means that instead of just hitting the numbers, he continuously searches for the perfect combination of media, message, and technology that will have the greatest impact for Trilogy clients. Detail-oriented, innovative, and obsessed with efficiency, John navigates the ever-changing media marketplace to maximize the value of every ad dollar. He's an expert on media data and analytics who enjoys finding the story behind the numbers, delivering insights that clients can build upon campaign after campaign. Before joining Trilogy, John worked as the Marketing Director for two programmatic advertising technology companies, Technorati Media and Adadyn. Prior to that, John led global media buying for OnLive, a cloud gaming company. John graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Political Science."
Trip Yang is the founder and president of Trip Yang Strategies and started his political consulting business in the fall of 2019 after working on political campaigns for nearly a decade. His clients include Dan Goldman for Congress, Max Rose for Congress, Jumaane Williams for governor, Cordell Cleare for state Senate, Grace Lee for Assembly, Steven Raga for Assembly, Al Taylor for Assembly, Anthony Andrews for Assembly, Gale Brewer for New York City Council speaker, Shekar Krishnan for New York City Council, Jumaane Williams for New York City public advocate, and Vanessa Gibson for Bronx borough president.
