Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee digital ad focuses on AAPI support for abortion rights.

Today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced a seven-figure investment in digital, print and radio advertising to court, galvanize, and mobilize AAPI voters in critical battleground districts, including New Jersey’s 5th, 7th, and 11th districts.

The digital ads come as Republicans plot a nationwide abortion ban, which would override any state protections – leaving women and families unable to access reproductive health care. The ads share the devastating, but realistic, story of a man losing his wife after she was unable to get treatment due to pregnancy complications.

“The Republican agenda poses a threat to people nationwide and especially women and families within the AAPI community,” said DCCC Senior Advisor for AAPI Engagement Allen Chen. “As Republicans plot to further rip away a woman’s freedom to make decisions about her own body, voters will hear about the devastating and dangerous effects of the Republicans’ government overreach.”

The investment is an unprecedented commitment from Congressional Democrats to reach AAPI voters this cycle. Research from HIT Strategies shows that AAPI voters are strongly in support of abortion rights and leaving such choices to families instead of politicians.
