Deputy District Attorney Thien Ho airs ad for Sacramento DA's race.

As a refugee who fled Vietnam seeking freedom and opportunities for a better life, Thien Ho embodies the American Dream.

He is a lawyer with 23 years of experience. As a deputy district attorney, Thien prosecuted the most violent and dangerous criminals, including the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer. He has served as the Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney for Sacramento County and managed an entire bureau of lawyers who are sworn to protect the public, collaborate with community partners, and guard the integrity of the criminal justice system.

"I’m running for District Attorney to make our community safer, provide victims justice, and ensure our system serves everyone equally. I’ve prosecuted Sacramento’s most complex and violent cases including the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer. But more is needed. As DA, I will focus on crime prevention, accountability, reducing violent gun crimes and expanding mental health and drug programs to combat the homeless crisis," said Ho.
